Campus Batch 2010

Today marks a new chapter in your lives. Your formal academic training is complete. For all of you it is the beginning your professional careers. A career that each and every one of you hopes will be a successful one.

What is the definition of a successful career and how does one ensure this is the key question ? Can we all arrive at a common definition at all ? Probably not.

Success ….it is subject to interpretation.

I offer some quotes on this topic from some successful individuals:

1. "One important key to success is self-confidence. An important key to self-confidence is preparation ."Arthur Ashe

2. "Personal development is your springboard to personal excellence. Ongoing, continuous, non-stop personal development literally assures you that there is no limit to what you can accomplish." Brian Tracy

3. "Destiny is not a matter of chance, it is a matter of choice; it is not a thing to be waited for, it is a thing to be achieved." Winston Churchill

4. There are two kinds of people, those who do the work and those who take the credit. Try to be in the first group; there is less competition there. Indira Gandhi

So in summary success can be achieved by preparation and perseverance not good luck remember. Is there a place where "Success comes before work only in the dictionary…

This is a great opportunity to prepare, that is the essence of what you will be doing for the next 12 weeks or so, Prepare ! Prepare ! Prepare !

Prepare for working hard, prepare for your professional career in technology, prepare for the day when surely someone will come to you and ask that question “ Can you do this for me ? What will your answer be, will it be Yes I can !

Prepare for life, you have some habits many good I hope, here is an opportunity to hone them to make them even better and perhaps drop some bad ones. This is not about Infogain, this is about how to take young impressionable minds and mould them to achieve success. I think we can do this together but remember in the session there will be one instructor and 45 or 50 of you, similarly this is mostly about you, 90% of what happens in the session and whether you move forward is depended on you only 5-10% on the instructor.

It is unlikely that you will ever again have the chance to participate in such a set of trainings and sessions, I hope you will make the most of them, to get the fullest out of them, remember one day soon someone will ask “ Can you do this for me “ ?

Exceeding Customer Expectations through Mobile Applications

With mobile technology taking center stage for performing critical and personal business functions, the days of using phones just to make calls are gone.Consumers have come to expect instant access to information at any given time, enabling them to perform key tasks while on the move. They demand that businesses offer mobile applications to simplify interactions and to earn their ongoing loyalty.

In response to this increased expectation, enterprises must move beyond the desktop. To remain competitive, they must respond aggressively to their sophisticated consumers by providing reliable mobile applications with processing power, flexibility, security, and integration with other applications. They must also consider empowering their workforce with mobility solutions that enable them to increase their effectiveness and responsiveness to meet and exceed customer expectations.
